If your water purifier is making a beeping sound:
- The filter might need to be replaced. Please check to see if the filter indicator light on front panel is red next to the filter names (PGP/RO/CTO).
- To replace the filter, please refer to the user manual or “How to Replace Your Filter” video https://cms-video.blueair.com/How_To_Replace_Filters_captions.mp4.
- If your water purifier has been dispensing water continuously for 30mins, the self-protection mode will be enabled. All three indicator lights will flash in red in sequence and the machine will generate beeping sound. To stop the beeping sound, please unplug the water purifier and reconnect it to the power outlet to restart it.
• Please ensure you have 120V power outlet under the sink prior to installation.
• Your countertop will also require a 1” hole to install the Pureit drinking faucet. A professional installer is recommended to drill a hole in the countertop. Please refer to the user manual or see the “How to Drill a Hole in Your Countertop” installation video https://cms-video.blueair.com/Drilling_Hole_in_Countertop_captions.mp4
• Do not install in direct sunlight.
• Please install within 5 feet of the drainpipe.
• Pureit UR5440/5640 models are not compatible with copper piping.

Please check that the waste water tubing is properly connected from the waste water port in the back of your unit to the drain pipe. You can refer to the video “How to install your Pureit water purifier”
• PGP filter: The PGP filter reduce impurities larger than 5 microns in water, such as rust, sediment, and suspended solids.
• RO filter: The RO filter is the reverse osmosis filter with membrane pores that can be as small as 0.0001 micron. This filter helps remove E-coli and reduce heavy metal and industrial pollutants like cadmium, chromium III and lead.
• CTO filter: The CTO filter contains activated carbon and helps reduce turbidity, visible objects and odor.

Under normal conditions, the three filter life indicator lights are always on in blue.
• If it is flashing red every 2 seconds: This means the corresponding filter is about to expire.
• If it is flashing red rapidly with a beeping sound: This means that the corresponding filter has expired and needs to be replaced.
Actual replacement time will vary by usage and local water conditions.
• PGP/CTO filter: Recommended 6 – 12 months
• RO filter: Recommended 2 - 3 years
The Pureit UR5440/UR5640 have a built-in filter life indicator that will remind you when it is time to replace your filter.
After replacing the filter ensure that you have reset the water purifier. Please refer to “How to Replace Your Filters” video https://cms-video.blueair.com/How_To_Replace_Filters_captions.mp4.
• Press the Select button to select the filter you have just replaced and needs to reset.
• Press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds. Once the indicator light turns from red to blue the water purifier will make a beep to indicate that reset is successful.
- Use only Pureit branded filters from https://www.pureitglobal.com/us. All authentic Pureit filters will have a serial number starting with xXX
- The limited warranty remains in effect only if the Pureit water purifier has been operated and maintained in accordance to the provided instructions, has had its filters changed with a genuine Pureit replacement filter, shows no evidence of tampering, misuse, modification, or neglect, and has not left the continental US or Canada. • Yes, you can easily replace the filters in simple 4 steps.

• Check the button surface: If there is any water or impurity on the button, clean the button and try to press again.
• If the problem persists, there might a defect in the control panel. Please contact customer service for further assistance.
- Under normal conditions all three filter lights will be on in blue. If there is no filter light on, please check if the water purifier is plugged into the outlet.
- If the filter indicator light fails to turn on,
- If all three filter indicator lights are red,
- If the filter indicator light is flashing red with a beeping sound it means the corresponding filter has expired. Please refer to user manual or How to Replace Your Filter video https://cms-video.blueair.com/How_To_Replace_Filters_captions.mp4
- If the problem persists even after replacing your filter, there could be internal damage. Please contact customer service for further assistance.
If you start noticing irregular noises from the Pureit water purifier:
a. The water purifier is not properly placed: please adjust it so that it is sitting on a flat surface.
b. The water purifier is placed next to other items: The device may cause slight resonance when n use.

30 minutes
- If your water purifier has been constantly dispensing water for over 30min, the self-protection mode will automatically stop the water purifier from dispensing water. When self-protection is enabled, all three indicator lights will flash red in sequence and the machine will generate beeping sound. Please restart the water purifier by unplugging your water purifier and reconnecting it to the power outlet .
- When the unit is restarting, all three indicator lights will flash blue. After approximately 3 seconds the indicator lights will stop flashing and the auto-flush will turn on for approximately 18 second while the indicators will flash blue in sequence. When auto-flush is complete, all three indicator lights will turn on and remain blue.
- Check to ensure the water purifier is properly plugged into the outlet. When powered on, the indicator lights will turn blue.
- Check the power outlet to ensure is it working.

- Check the drinking faucet is turned off and is not dispensing water unattended.
- If the problem persists, there might be something wrong with check valve. Please contact customer service for further assistance.
The filter was not properly reset after replacing it. Please follow the steps to reset your filter https://cms-video.blueair.com/How_To_Replace_Filters_captions.mp4.
A slight delay after a new filter has been replaced can happen and should be resolved by allowing your water to run for a few seconds after turning on your drinking faucet.

If you’ve been running your Pureit water purifier for more than 30 mins the self-protection mode will be enabled. When enabled, all three indicator lights will flash red in sequence and the machine will generate beeping sound. Please restart the water purifier by unplugging your water purifier and reconnecting it to the power outlet to restart it. When it has restarted all three indicator lights will flash blue and red repeatedly. After X seconds the indicator lights will stop flashing and remain blue.

Pureit UR5640 can fill a 6oz cup of water in 8 seconds and the Pureit UR5440 can fill a 6oz cup of water in 12 seconds. If the water flow has noticeably slowed down, please check the followings:
- Check the valve: Check that the cold-water supply valve is turned on completely.
- Check the water temperature: The recommended operating condition for the Pureit water purifier is between 41℉ and 100℉. If the water temperature is above or below these temperatures it could affect the water flow.
- Check the water pressure of the main water supply: Check the water pressure from water meter. The feed water pressure for Pureit water purifier should be between 15 psi and 60 psi.
- Check the filter: If the water flow is slower than before the filter might be expiring and needs to be replaced.
- When the filter is about to expire: There will be a beeping sound and the filter's corresponding indicator light will flash red every 2 seconds on the interface.
- When it is time to replace the filter: The filter's corresponding indicator light will flash in red rapidly and make a beeping sound.

Please first shut off the main water valve to avoid damage to Pureit water purifier. Check all the joints, fittings, and tubing connections to see if you can locate any leakage.
- Leakage from joints or tubing: If you notice leakage in any of the white Pureit tubing, please cover the leakage by using the provided Teflon tape by wrapping it around the tubing or threads at least 3 times.
- Check the lock clips: Make sure all connection valves have the blue lock clips properly in place.
- Leakage from feed water adapter: Please ensure Teflon tape was used to seal the joints of the feed water adapter. Wrap the adapter thread at least 3 times. More Teflon tape may be required depending on the thread tolerances.
- Leakage from the Pureit faucet: Please push the tubing (which connects the Pureit faucet) at the bottom of the faucet at least 3/4" inches in so that the tubing is fully inserted into the fitting.

- The filter might be expiring or expired. Please check to see if any filter life indicator lights are red. Refer to How to “Replace your Filter” video https://cms-video.blueair.com/Noticeable_Taste_in_Water_captions.mp4.
- If you have not used the water purifier for more than X days, turn on the faucet to flush the water purifier for X seconds
